El exit portal It is a structure that allows the player to return to their spawn point, activating with each defeat of the enderdragon.

    Summary

    Generation

The exit portal is always spawned at 0,0 coordinates in the End (biome), and is disabled whenever there is an ender dragon fight. The level and of the portal is determined by the height of the terrain, placing the blocks of the portal on the level and of the highest block that is at 0,0. If the exit portal spawns on top of the world, the portal blocks will be the tallest blocks spawned, and the top 3 blocks of the bedrock pillar will not spawn due to the maximum build height being reached. If there are no blocks at 0,0 then the portal will spawn out of bounds and only the top 3 blocks of the bedrock pillar will spawn.

    Structure

An activated exit portal (top view).

The exit portal is similar to the End portal but differs in design. Instead of an End portal frame block frame, it has a 7-block wide base stone bowl-shaped frame, and a central bedrock pillar with a torch on each side. A dragon egg spawns on top of the pillar when the ender dragon is defeated for the first time.

There are 16 End Stone blocks, one under each outer bedrock block, as well as four torches. If any of the blocks are removed, they regenerate when the enderdragon is defeated or respawns. (Note: the torches are attached to the center block of the bedrock from the second to the top

    Behavior

The portal returns the player to their spawn point. Credits are rolled when a player enters an exit portal for the first time.

If an entity other than a player passes through, such as falling sand or thrown objects, it is sent to the world spawn point.

If a player dies above the portal (for example, flying into the rock column with sufficient momentum), the player passes. In Java Edition, the player elements disappear. In Bedrock Edition the player's items are returned to the world spawn point.

When using custom world generation, if the End (biome) appears around the origin on the Surface, the Nether, or a custom dimension, then the portal output appears at 0,0 with the portal blocks in place. However, instead of taking the player to their spawn point, the portal takes them to the dimension of the End.

    Curiosities

    • In Bedrock Edition, if the player manages to break all the End portal blocks at the exit portal, the entire structure regenerates after 5 seconds.
    • If all portal blocks have crystals from the End above (so the portal is constantly being removed by fire), this regeneration process repeats until a portal block is successfully regenerated.
    • If an End portal is creatively built in The End or generated through custom world generation, then it also acts as an exit portal.
    • If the exit portal spawns at the highest possible height and the ender dragon is defeated, the portal blocks will appear in the exit portal as usual, but the dragon egg will not spawn due to its intended location exceeding the construction height limit.
    • In Pocket, Bedrock, and Windows 10 editions, if there are other End portal blocks in the End and the exit portal structure is completely destroyed, it will not regenerate until the other End portal blocks are removed.
