Each filtering bag experience orbsThey are small spheres that vary in color between yellow and green. They glow in the dark, however without producing light around them.
As the name suggests, they bring experience to the player.

    Summary

    Obtaining

There are several ways to achieve this, the main one is by killing hostile mobs, such as Creepers, Spiders, skeletons, and zombies. Some mobs give more experience than others. For example, traditional mobs give approximately 5 EXP on a scale of measurement, while blazes give 10 EXP, considering their difficulty to kill and their power to burn. It is also possible to get experience by killing Passive mobs, such as cows, sheep and pigs, (it does not work with bats) But these give much less experience than hostile mobs. Another way to get these orbs is by mining blocks of minerals other than block; such as coal, lapis lazuli, redstone, diamond, quartz, and emerald. It is not obtained with gold or iron, (since they are metals and experience is obtained by melting them). Nor is it obtained with blocks extracted with the enchantment "Touch of silk". Since the third way to get experience is by burning any object that can be burned in the oven, the greater the number of objects that have been burned, the greater the amount of experience that is awarded to the player. There is a fourth way, albeit a bit scarce, which is by mining Monster Generators, (metallic flaming grids with miniature mob figures) and they will give a respectable amount of experience, although it can be better put to good use by doing an experience farm. If a player dies, either by a hostile mob, explosion, fall, or even by another player, all their experience is removed, but if someone picks it up, it is greatly reduced. A player of level 15 or higher will ALWAYS drop 5-6 levels upon death, regardless of whether someone is level 100, 200 or 1000. If the amount is less than 15, less than 5 levels may be left, sometimes not even enough experience to go up a level. (Checked in 1.6.2). Depending on the experience levels you have, it is more difficult to level up, for example, it will not cost you much to go from level 2 to 3, but when you go from level 49 to 50 you will notice that the experience bar rises more slowly. It is proven that this difference changes at level 20, therefore going up from level 20 to the top will be a difficult task.

    Behavior

The experience orb acts somewhat like objects thrown on the ground, and is affected by fire and lava, disappearing. When a player is at a certain distance, unlike traditional objects, (approximately 4 cubes away) these orbs will approach the player at a progressive speed (the closer the faster). These orbs when reaching the player are "absorbed", producing a sound of a soft bell (and when reaching a level multiple of 5, several louder bell sounds are produced) increasing the player's level (indicated by a bar above hunger gauges, health and, when you wear it, armor). Each time a player levels up, the amount of experience required progressively increases.

    Profit Share

Its greatest utility are enchantments and anvil jobs, Since these jobs cost XP according to:

    (At the enchantment table)

-The level of the enchantment, the more level the better spells come out and the more powerful

-The enchantment will cost the number of levels indicated on the table. If it is a number 30, the player will lose 3 levels and 3 lapis lazuli in exchange for performing the enchantment.

    (On anvil)

-The level of enchantment that the objects to collect or repair have, For example, a normal diamond sword, to repair can cost about 7-9 Levels (And this will increase if you want to change the name), While if you try to repair a sword with Sharpness V AND Loot III (For example) It could cost between 20-35 Levels. Sometimes the player does not have the required level, and other times, When the cost is greater than 40, it only becomes possible in creative mode.

    Curiosities

-On bukkit servers, the anvil may be damaged and when trying to repair something, experience is consumed without doing the job. This is fixed by getting XP again, no matter how small the amount. Levels will be returned to the player

-The enderdragon is able to drop enough orbs of experience to go from level 0 to 120 approximately.

    -Experience can burn in lava

-Experience can sometimes fly a short distance to catch up with the player.

-Sometimes when there is a block between the experience and the player it is seen how the orbs float around the player without adding up in the experience indicator and without the orb disappearing. The simple solution is to get closer to the place where the orb got stuck.
