    Renewable resources

Renewable resources This article needs to be rewritten.  Presents poorly written text that can confuse readers. You can help by rewriting it.

Un renewable resource It is one that can be recreated indefinitely in exploit-free survival mode (as opposed to non-renewable resources). Although running out of resources is not likely due to the theoretically infinite map generation, this is a list of resources that can be produced over and over again without having to explore for more. However, running out of resources can be a bigger problem on extra-flat worlds, where resources are more scarce.

Fully renewable products are objects that can be manufactured or cast using only renewable resources. For example, cookies are renewable because they only require wheat and cocoa beans that can be grown indefinitely, while diamond tools are not because they require diamond, which is not renewable.

    Summary

    Renewable resources

Resources that can be obtained indefinitely. Some require non-renewable materials in production, but the process will not consume those materials.

    Resource Renewable products Renewal method
    Arrow
Arrows are loot from skeletons and can also be sold by archery villagers.
    Summer of blazes

    Flaming Rods are Blazes' loot.
    Bone

    Bones are spoils for skeletons.
    Cactus
Cacti can be found in deserts and can be grown in sand. Although the sand is not renewable, it is not consumed by the growth of the cactus.
    Carrot
Carrots are rare zombie loot and can be collected from some village farm fields, but once obtained they can be grown on farmland.
    Chicken egg
    Renewable resources / image
Chickens lay an egg about every 5-10 minutes.
    Coal
Coal is loot from wither skeletons.
    Rock and Stone
Renewable resources / image Created by letting non-renewable lava flow over or against water. The water should not be allowed to flow to the source block of the lava, to prevent the lava from irreversibly turning into obsidian.
    Cocoa beans
Cacao plants (found in jungle trees) drop up to 3 seeds, which can be replanted in jungle wood to produce more Cacao Nibs.
    Ender's Pearl
    Renewable resources
    Enderman's booty.
    Orb of Experience
    Renewable resources
See Enchantment Any creature killed by the player except for villagers, golems, bats, or baby animals drops experience orbs. In multiplayer mode they are also obtained from players who have collected orbs that die.
    Feather
    Booty of Chickens.
    Flower

They can appear when using bone powder on grass. This requires non-renewable grass blocks (although these are very common in a main world outside of a Mushroom Island) and is the only way to obtain a renewable supply of Dandelions. Iron golem sometimes drop roses.
    Ghast's Tear
    Ghasts loot.
    Gunpowder
Loot of creepers, ghasts and witches.
    Giant mushroom
    Renewable resources / image
Using Bone Powder on normal mushrooms these will grow into Giant Mushrooms (if there is enough space), which can be destroyed to get more mushrooms. With the silk touch enchantment, giant mushroom blocks can be obtained.
    Ice
    Renewable resources / image
Blocks of water in flat ice or Taiga will turn to ice over time. If you try to pick up a block of ice, it will break and if there is another block below it, it will turn into water and could flood the area; otherwise it will just break. With a pick of any material enchanted with the touch of silk (obtainable by trading with priest villagers), ice blocks can be successfully collected.
    Ink sack
    Renewable resources / image
    Squid booty.
    Leather
    Renewable resources / image
    Booty of Cows and Vacasetas.
    Magma cream
    Loot of Magmatic Slime.
    Watermelon seeds
    Renewable resources / image
Watermelon seeds are found in abandoned mines, and are made from watermelon slices, which can be traded with farm villagers. The seeds can be renewed once ripe, by breaking a watermelon stem, or by making them from watermelon slices.
    Milk
It is obtained by milking cows or mushrooms with a bucket.
    Mushrooms
When using Bone Powder on normal mushrooms, huge mushrooms grow in them, if there is enough space, which in turn can be divided to get more of the normal mushroom. Normal mushrooms also spread slowly on their own. Also, Champiñaca can be cut for red mushrooms or milked for mushroom stew, which can also be made by hand with a container and both mushrooms.
    Infernal wart
    Renewable resources / image
Harvested from well developed infernal wart. It must be planted in the non-renewable soul sand, but it does not consume the block.
    Obsidian
    • Entering a nether portal for which there is no matching exit will spawn 14 free obsidian blocks (and 4 more "ledge" blocks if the portal is formed in midair). Just mining the corners (and "ledges") will keep the portal active if desired. More here
    • Every time you enter an end portal it will generate a 5x5 platform of obsidian in the same position in the end. In other words, the obsidian can be mined and will be "recharged" the next time you re-enter the finale (note that, to drop off at the end, you will first have to defeat the Enderdragon).

Diamond picks, required for the obsidian mine, can be obtained through trading with peasant blacksmiths.

    Pope
Potatoes rarely drop from zombies and can be harvested in some fields in the village, but once obtained, the player can grow them on tilled soil. Poisonous potatoes are occasionally left behind by mature potato plants.
    Pumpkin Seeds
    Renewable resources / image
Renewable resources / image Pumpkin seeds are found in abandoned mine shafts, while pumpkins are found themselves "wild" in certain biomes. Seeds can also be obtained by putting a pumpkin in a crafting slot or by breaking pumpkin stalks. The seeds, of course, can be planted in land to generate more pumpkins.
    Raw meat
Raw meat is left behind by cows and fungi. The Steak can be traded for Butcher Villagers.
    Raw chicken
Chicken booty. Cooked chickens can be traded with farmer villagers.
    Raw Fish
It is obtained by fishing with a fishing net.
    Raw pork
Pig booty. Cooked chops can be traded with the butcher villagers.
    Rotten Flesh

    Saplings and trees
    Renewable resources / image
    Renewable resources / image
Trees can be grown by saplings planted in the ground; When a block of leaves breaks, it has a 5% chance of sapling. Charcoal can be produced by cooking any type of log. The leaves can be obtained with scissors. Sticks can be dropped by Witches.
    Slimes Ball
    Slimes Booty.
    Snow ball
Renewable resources / image In cold biomes, snow is replaced whenever it snows. It can also be produced by Snow Golem when he walks.
    Eye of spider
Loot from Spiders, Cave Spiders, and Witches.
    Rope

    Renewable resources / image
    Spiders loot or cave spiders.
    Sugar cane
    Renewable resources / image

It can grow up to 3 blocks tall and can be used or replanted. It can only be planted in soil / sand in contact with water. Sugar is released by killing Witches.
    High grass
    Renewable resources / image
Using Bone Powder on grass blocks, you will grow tall grass on the ground. To get that tall grass, you must use scissors.
    Vines
They are found in swamp trees, in jungles, and in jungle caves. When in a block, they will grow naturally if there is open space underneath. To get the vines, you must use scissors.
    Water Cube
Two water fountain blocks located in the appropriate pattern produce a third fountain. If it is placed in a snow biome, it will create ice.
    Wheat seeds
Wheat seeds can be planted in farmland. Harvesting the resulting crops can produce more seeds. The seeds can also be harvested from tall grasses.
    Lana
Renewable resources / image Obtained from killing or shearing adult sheep or from 4 spider or cave spider strings. Six of the possible colors (white, light gray, gray, black, brown and pink) occur naturally in sheep; the green, lime, red, orange and yellow wool colors require renewable dyes.
    End stone

    Renewable resources

Renewable resourcesRenewable resourcesRenewable resources Spawns on the lower sides of the end portal when the original or resurrected ender dragon dies.

This one is revived with crystals of the end that contain glass, ghast tear and an enderman pearl, all these materials are renewable, (glass: trade with bookseller villagers, ghast tear: killing ghast, enderman pearl: enderman's eye, dust from blaze: killing enderman, killing blaze).

    Rare booties

    Renewable, but consumes non-renewable resources

These resources can be made infinitely, but they require a use of non-renewable resources.

    Resource Renewable products Renewable method
Enchanted tools, weapons, and armor at level 30 Experience Orbs can be spent to enchant things, but that requires a one-time use of a diamond (non-renewable resource) to create an enchantment table. Once created, it can be used unlimitedly.
Wool: blue, light blue, cyan, purple and magenta
Renewable resources / image Sheep can regenerate their wool by eating dirty block grass, and therefore can be shaved multiple times. However, a single unit of the dye contains non-renewable lapis lazuli, which is required to paint sheep.

    Planned renewable resources

These objects are renewable. However, they are only in snapshots and pre-released. In an official update it has not yet been shown.
